Stars dropped as England select final Euros XI

Jack Grealish, James Maddison and Harry Maguire have been left out of England’s final squad for Euro 2024. Maguire misses out due to a calf injury that has kept him out of action since mid April, while his Manchester United teammate Luke Shaw makes the cut despite not having played since February due to a hamstring problem, but Grealish and Maddison were second to Eberechi Eze, Jarrod Bowen and Anthony Gordon in Gareth Southgate’s metric, which means they’ll have to watch from home.

Atalanta hand Leverkusen their first loss of the season to win the Europa League

FIFTY ONE GAMES UNBEATEN RUN that saw Xabi Alonso and Bayer Leverkusen lift the Meisterschale after an unbeaten season, reach the DFB Pokal final and Europa League final was ended by Gasperini and Atalanta on Wednesday. The Italian side completely outclassed Leverkusen to clinch the Europa League that many thought could be going Leverkusen’s way. Atalanta BC had a plan to stop Leverkusen by playing a high pressing football with each man to one player, which made Leverkusen suffer because they weren’t able to play in their rhythm, but they had another plan on the other end of the pitch in Ademola Lookman. The Nigerian sensation stepped up his game and put up a fine display which had to be perfect and scored a hat trick to perfectly execute the whole Gasperini masterplan.

Mbappe announces that he’s leaving PSG at the end of the season

France striker Kylian Mbappe has announced that he will leave Paris Saint Germain at the end of the season. The 25 year old sensation announced the decision in a video released on his social media accounts. “I’ve always said that I would speak with you when the time comes,” Mbappe said. “It’s my last year at Paris St-Germain. I will not extend and the adventure will come to an end in a few weeks.”

Borussia Dortmund display resilience to reach Champions League final
