Pogba’s four year drug ban reduced after appeal

Paul Pogba’s four-year drug ban has been reduced to 18 months following a successful appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). Pogba, the 32 year old French international was initially suspended as a precaution in September 2023 after testing positive for DHEA [a compound that promotes the production of hormones in the body, including testosterone], following Juventus’ opening game of the 2023/24 season at Udinese on August 20, but has now been cleared and is free to start playing for Juventus again from March next year.

Everton bottle two goal lead against Bournemouth

Everton had a week to forget in the Premier League, as their woes continued after they bottled a two goal lead against Bournemouth to record their third loss in three Premier League games this season.
