One of the most iconic buzzer beaters in the entire NBA was Derrick’s White’s Game 6 Buzzer beater. At the end of the game 6 The Boston Celtics had more momentum and drive in winning the series given how demoralizing the buzzer beater was for the entire Miami team. In Jimmy Butler words “We have one last stop”….. Well it wasn’t one!
The Celtics had just one job to do, win! With a great atmosphere of home fans, stronger talented bunch of players against, and a greater momentum advantage going into the game 7 all they had to do is play up to their standard for them to be finals bound. In the end the Celtics are at home.
From Hindsight, the moment Jayson Tatum twisted his knee in the early period of game 7, I knew the Miami Heat may just win. I mean, Jayson Tatum is down! All Miami had to do was to play better. Jayson Tatum struggled to say the least at the 3 point line in the entirety of the Series. In game 6 he literally had no 3 points made. If Miami played the same way they played against The Celtics in game 6, it would have also been a blowout.
I will also suggest that this may be the best time for the Celtics to really consider the dynamics between Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown Duo on the team. If I was to suggest a good complimentary piece for the Celtics. I will say: Caleb Martin would be a spectacular option. Caleb Martin morphed into the most elite player on the Miami roster and became a 3 point beast in the postseason which is beyond terrific.
New talks have also been raised concerning the current Celtics Coach Joe Mazzula, We all blamed him when the Celtics team went down 0-3. However, we got to also appreciate his tenacity in an attempt to make history. Joe Mazzula has the looks of being a great coach. The Celtics will definitely have plenty of things to discuss this offseason.
