For some reason with the way the Lakers seem to have handled an underwhelming Warriors team, one would consider whether D’Angelo Russell will have a secure future with the Lakers. However, beyond doubts the Nuggets team have exposed how disposable D’Angelo Russell can be in a playoff team.

For a total number of 79 minutes across 3 playoff games against the Nuggets. Russel has scored only 21 points. The most disheartening moments of Game 3 were D’Angelo’s 20 minutes. How on earth did he score just 3 points when his mantra is that he is a self proclaimed “Killer”?

Lakers also had better players on the roster that have outplayed Russell this playoffs. Dennis Schroder had his moments in the playoffs alongside bench players like Lonie Walker. At a point during the Conference finals it was just confusing that Schroder wasnt getting enough minutes especially when Russell play on the floor was just awful.

The Mavericks will be having a lot of discussions this offseason especially with their fall from grace during the regular season. The Mavericks need more role players and solid defenders. At this point the Dallas Mavericks  might as well consider just building a better team around Luka.

Both Kyrie and Luka are ball hogs (solid Iso players) and the mixture of both players seem catastrophic, however if Dallas can adopt solid role players- the possibilities can be limitless. The Scar of not making the playoffs will lead to a lot of action in the front office of the Mavericks- and Kyrie just keeps resurfacing as a key piece concerning Mavericks trade decisions.

The chances of Kyrie going to the Lakers are very high next season. In my opinion Lebron, Kyrie and Anthony Davis will team up whether the league likes it or not.
