The Suns traded Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson alongside some first round picks to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for Kevin Durant. While this may look like a terrific trade, Phoenix should have done everything they could to keep the man called Mikal Bridges. It may sound absurd, but trading Chris Paul may be more advantageous to the Phoenix Suns than trading Mikal Bridges.

One thing the Suns lack presently is depth. DeAndre Ayton might be a plus to the Suns defense. (Although, Mikal Bridges influence on guarding players cannot be overemphasized on the Suns)  Mikal Bridges is one player that the Phoenix Suns fans have watched his development for a long time in the Suns uniform. He had really harnessed his game and would have been a good plus to the Phoenix Suns in the long run.

Moreover, the Suns are really looking like a championship team this season. I can bet that the Suns will make the Western Conference Finals. And the Luka Special definitely won’t repeat itself this season.

More than Basketball, The Phoenix Suns seem to lack the Mamba like mentality needed to compete on the highest of levels needed for playoff basketball. The Suns are always chickening out when the best play is expected from them. Especially with Chris Paul always being missing in action when it comes to delivering in the most important games. This is the thing with the Phoenix Suns that Kevin Durant will try to help impact. With KD, who I feel is the best player in the NBA right now, it’s all about hooping and playing the game the right way.

The Phoenix Suns are looking really Lethal with prolific scorers like KD and Devin Booker. Chris Paul off nights won’t even be really noticed again. If the KD and Devin Booker mix well.

Also, it seems Charles Berkeley (TNT) will start reducing his hate concerning KD. Well hopefully KD will claim his role fully as the bus driver of his team. One of the best playoff games last season, NBA fans hope to re-witness this season is a rematch between the Suns and the Dallas Mavericks. But I’ll likely have the Suns over the Mavericks this time.
