I was willing to let the Kyrie situation slide and not comment about it. But after Kyrie’s press Conference with the Mavericks, I felt how infuriated the front office of Brooklyn was entitled to feel about Irving.
Ivring claims he left Brooklyn in 4th place in the east. Not to discredit Kyrie but for a team like Brooklyn fourth place wasn’t good enough. For example Brooklyn has been the number one recipients for ass whooping defeats from the Boston Celtics. The Celtics don’t even care whether Kyrie is in the game or not. Kyrie would have never led the Nets to a playoff win against the Celtics without Kevin Durant.
Irving for goodness sake was also paid 136 million dollars since signing his contract and didn’t leave up to the money or Hype.
Kyrie has been available for half the time in Brooklyn. It was either injury (which is a normal occurrence with players), Or some mid season Kyrie situation.
Kyrie Ivring literally stayed out for almost the entirety of the 2022 season due to the Covid mandate. Kyrie has been a disaster to the entirety of the Brooklyn team whether we want to view it in that direction or not.
James Harden is currently also looking like the wisest player in the entire NBA as he couldn’t just cope with Brooklyn dysfunctional chemistry and left the team before the postseason last year for Philadelphia 76ers.
Although, where Kyrie really offended the front office of Brooklyn was earlier this season with Kyrie’s antisemitic controversy. It was even quite a miracle that Kyrie’s suspension didn’t last longer. The owner of the Brooklyn Nets was deeply affected. And to be honest, it was clear the Brooklyn Nets have been trying their best to tolerate Kyrie ever since.
Kyrie is a great player, the best ball handler to ever play the game of Basketball, no one is arguing about that, but apart from talent, ethics is also important in the game of Basketball. Basketball is really beyond Basketball.
Brooklyn Nets managed to plunder Kyrie’s trading options. The Nets front office did everything possible to have ensured that Kyrie was miles away from Los Angeles. Thereby frustrating any hopes of reunion between Kyrie and LeBron James.
However, a team consisting of Kyrie and Luka is still a deadly team and can achieve a lot in the playoffs. Kyrie can always go to the Lakers in the off-season. It’s just a matter of months to possibly see another drama play out. THE NBA IS FANTASTIC!!!!
