Coming into the Season, heavy pressure was placed on some players. This pressure from the media and fans were due to anticipation of a better performance from a player whether after recovering from an injury or taking part in a trade.

1. Patrick Beverly (Lakers): This is the only player in the history of the NBA that has made a play-in tournament success look like a Championship win. Well, it is best to say that Beverly was better off in the Timberwolves. The Lakers fans loved Beverly as he was coming into the franchise- although I don’t think so now.

Months earlier before Beverley was traded to the Lakers, An interview of Beverly with Max Kellerman from ESPN went viral, during the interview Beverly said “I wouldn’t hesitate to play alongside Lebron”. Beverley got his dream trade, although not his dream significance in his team.

Beverly looks like he will be traded out of the Lakers before the postseason. However, the Lakers squad has been performing great recently. Patrick Beverley still looks like his play will have him fighting for a rotation spot if the Lakers sneak into the playoffs .

2. Ben Simmons (Nets): After the Sixers lost in the playoffs, it was clear that Ben Simmons was never going to play alongside Embiid again. The Australian spent a whole year without playing for the Sixers. Simmons was later traded to the Brooklyn Nets for James Harden. Fans all anticipated that Ben Simmons will come back to life once he is in an atmosphere that will support his balling career, but Ben hasn’t.

Ben’s performance in Brooklyn this season is a far cry from what we have seen when he was in Philadelphia. Somehow, fans hope we haven’t seen the best days of Ben 10.
