The myth. The legend. Basked in pure greatness. From Madeira, to Manchester to Madrid, to Turin and then a second Manchester spell, Cristiano Ronaldo has had arguably a career that many legends of the game would envy. Unthinkable? No, not anymore. Not after the most famous athlete on the planet lives through the latest reminder that his unique life and extraordinary career has reached an undeniable and maybe irreversible shift. As astounding as it sounds, it looks like the Cristiano Ronaldo era has sadly come to an end. He has had a very big and fulfilled career, with a whooping 819 goals, 34 trophies and 5 Ballon d’or to his name. At 37 however, it’s somewhat impossible to cheat age or beat father time. No matter how many critiques get thrown at him, Crisitiano never admits that the end is near for his wonderful career, and that’s one of the reasons why he’s among the most controversial players to have ever lived, loved and loathed in equal measure. Ronaldo returned to Manchester United after turning down Manchester City in 2021, due to the stirs and mixed reactions the rumors were causing, but little did he know that he had made a very big mistake by returning to Old Trafford.

Cristiano’s second spell at Manchester United ended in the most ugly way people could have imagined, due to the disagreement with the manager and the way the team was being run. Their lack of investment in their facilities and equipment are also some of the things he marked out in his interview in Piers Morgan’s uncensored show. Ronaldo, frankly, doesn’t make it easy to feel sorry for him, with his behavior to the manager and teammates, including walking away from a game after refusing to be subbed on in the last minutes of the game against Spurs, back in October. His reluctance to agree that his abilities are diminishing with age has caused a lot of problems. He finished the World Cup with an awful performance, scoring just once in 3 starts and 5 appearances. Portugal exited the World Cup in the quarterfinals after a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Morocco. Cristiano, at the moment, is without a team. Could it be the end for the phenom?
